During the Roman world power, the bible has faced many threats and at some point it was not available to the common masses, many risked their lives to make sure it got to where it was today, the bible is available in many languages, and its estimated that 8 in every 10 person has a copy of the bible. What's so unique about the bible, and what does it contain? Hold on tight let's dive into it together.

So many people have heard about the bible, but only few really know what it’s all about, a lot of people have read it, say it’s a religious book and believe it’s only for Christians, others say it’s a book of myths and legends.

The first five books were written in the wilderness and it covers from the beginning of creation to about 1473 B.C.E. The last book of the bible was written in Patmos by the Apostle John. Now why do we say the bible is the word of God even though it was written by men?

Well imagine you own a company and you ask your secretary to write a letter to your mom while you dictate it to him/her, whose letter will it be, yours or your secretary's? You will agree with me that its yours, same as the bible, it is rightfully called God’s word since he was the one that directed the writers on what to write, no wonder many of them wrote not only their good deeds but also their failures.

The bible contains 66 inspired books from Genesis to Revelation, the bible has a unique message, its main message is about God’s purpose for mankind.

The first book of the bible Genesis tells us about how God took his time to create the earth, made it habitable for the first humans Adam and Eve, it also tells us how that beautiful Paradisiac earth was lost because of disobedience triggered by Satan the devil, then God made the first prophecy, that a seed will come and the serpent (Satan) will bruise him in the heel and that the seed will crush the serpent in the head.

Bible from Exodus tells us of how God puts his plans into motion, we learn about  people who put faith in  God  like Abel, Noah, Moses, Abraham, Job, Ruth, Esther, David, Daniel and so forth then we met the people of Israel, and we see how God used them to ensure that the seed in the prophecy will be born, we learn about how people who put faith in God are rewarded and promised everlasting life in the future   while those who oppose him are defeated, then the seed was revealed through the prophets, a child will be born, he will be the Messiah, The Gospels tell us about this seed Jesus, he came and did so many things to show that Gods Kingdom is the only hope for mankind, the prophecy came to fulfillment when Jesus was killed,(Satan figuratively bruised him in the heel) The last book of the Bible shows how Jesus who is now ruling as king will finally crush the serpent on his head by destroying Satan and restoring this earth to how God wanted it to be in the beginning, within the bible are counsel that can help us make wise decisions, have a happy family, be content, avoid trouble and live a happy life, if you read the bible today it has the power to change your life for the better and give it a purpose, like the bible rightfully says "its sharper than a two edged sword"

Today many lies have been taught about God and the bible, lies I repeat not truth. Grab a bible today and start knowing and building good relationship with the only hope of mankind God and his Kingdom.
